"A very special trip"

Our trekking tour with Glacier Adventure Company from mid-October to early November 2103 was very special. Starting with the reception at the airport, stay in the hotel with personal care (city tour and sightseeing, Welcome and Farewell dinner) to individual tour from Lukla to Gokyo and back. Tilak is working hard to meet the needs of its customers and personally sees to it that everything works. Our guide at the trekking tour and the porter were fully characterized and we have always felt very well looked after us and recommend him gladly.

Mera Peak Climbing

This was my second trip to Nepal to trek and climb. Both times I had the trip organized and guided by the Glacier Adventure Company (expeditiontrekkinginnepal.com) with Tilak Shestra. Both times the trip was most excellent because of him. In October 2012 my daughter and I climbed Mera Peak and made the south summit. Tilak was there by our side most of the time and made sure all of our needs were met. I may come back one more time to do Island Peak and if I do I will again use Tilak and the Glacier Adventure Company.

Annapurna Base Camp Trekking

In April my daughter and a friend, my husband and I completed the Annapurna Base Camp 11 day trek which Glacier Adventure Company organised. We were privileged to have Tilak, the Managing Director, accompany us as personal guide. Tikal is a very experienced guide and trek organiser and we were extremely happy with the way he organised our trip. We had 2 competent porters who carried our gear and Tilak booked comfortable guest houses ahead, which gave us manageable distances to walk each day, so we acclimatised without problems as our altitude increased.

Although my husband and I had been on many treks before in Nepal, we had never been to Annapurna Base Camp. We wanted my daughter and friend to experience reaching the high mountains in the relatively short time frame of days we had available. This trek proved to do exactly that and took us up through the delightful mountain villages on the way. We started at Naya Pul, walked up to Ulleri then on to Ghorepani ( and Poon Hill), through the rhododendron forests to Thadapani, on to Chomrong, Doban, Machhapuchare Base Camp and comfortably made it to 4,120mtrs at Annapurna Basecamp on the 7th day. We were treated to spectacular mountain scenery, with the many high peaks clearly in view both on the way up, and at Base Camp. We completed our round trip via Ghandruk. Altogether this was a most enjoyable and worthwhile 11 day trek.

We can thoroughly recommend Tilak and Glacier Adventure Company to organise a trek. Tilak's wealth of experience and cheerful and considerate manner will ensure that your trek in Nepal will be a wonderful experience.

Ghorepani, poonhill Treks

I cannot speak highly enough of Glacier Adventure Company and especially of Mr Tilak Shestra, the Managing Director and sometimes guide. I have known Tilak for more than ten years and have used his services on three separate occasions, as guide on the Annapurna Circuit Trek and ABC Trek and most recently on the Poon Hill Trek with my wife and eight year old daughter. The professionalism and courtesy is unsurpassed, from the moment you are greeted at the airport to the time you have to say goodbye.

Glacier Adventure Company's offices are in Thamel and easy to find, they will organise everything from hotels and flights to trekking and expedition planning, they will discuss all available options and accommodate any changes to your itinerary. The guides and porters are extremely knowledgeable and your safety is their number one priority. It is their absolute level of service which is so special, whether it be a five day trek or a full on expedition, to use Glacier Adventure will be the best decision you are likely to make.

Manaslu trekking

Jarle raimon age 66 and his wife Felicity holden age 62 from New Zealand had Manaslu trekking through Larke Pass (5215)m arranged by trekking company "Glacier Adventure company Pvt Ltd.

We left from Arughat on 29th September 2011 and 15 wonderful days trekking up the Bhudi Gandaki river valley before crossing Larka pass and then descending down to Besi Shahar. There was breathtaking Scenerary on every day of the thek particularly at high altitude. The nature of this region and perhaps the time of year we choose to go meant that none of the facilities were of over bundened and we found there was a relatively small number of other trekkers.

Throughout the trek we received wonderful Support and advice from ou guide Ghoman and had the assistance of 2 vey Competent and pleasant porters. We can speak very highly of this agency its organsisation and the personal touch. We would recommend Glacier Adventues to anyone.

Yala peak climbing

We left in Syabru Besi to Start our Trekking Though the Langtang Valley. Thought it was September, The Weather gave us Some sun at least a few hours per day. Three days and some tea houses later we arrived in Kyang Gompa at 3850m. We acclimatized one day, before we went to the Base camp at 4800m.We did Tsjerko Ri(5000m) as an exercise for Yala peak the 6th day was "The day" for us. Yala peak was to be Conquered by two Belgians. Our Sherpa Pimba who was about our age, Showed us the way.

We climbed the slippery Rocks at 2:00am in the dark.

We Reached the base of the Glacier at 7:00am, Just a little after sunrise.

The last 400m of our journey It was snowing but no problem for the young Belgians

Yala peak was Conquered !

We thank Glacier Adventure and Especially tilak, kaji and Pimba for arranging the trip with the necessary permits so well.
